    Combining "Similar" CSV files

    Hello all-
I've got about 50 csv files that I'd like to use the command line to merge together. However, each file has a different order of column headers. Most are the same, some are unique, but they all share specific headers (like First Name, Last Name, etc).
Is there a way I can automate the reorganization of the columns or combine them with something that can detect the same column headers? Moving one column at a time will take me ages.

I'd like to share the files, but they have personal info.

But imagine I have 3 files:
    File 1-
    FirstName, LastName, Birthdate, Email1, Email2
    File 2-
Roster, RegistrationDate, FirstName, LastName, Birthdate, Email1, Email2
    File 3-
FirstName, LastName, MInitial, Birthdate, Email1, Address, City, Zip, Email2, RegistrationDate

You get the idea. ANY help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Re: Combining "Similar" CSV files

You dont need to share your actual csv's, but giving us a couple of dummy csv's that mimic the layout would help us help you.

How much data does each csv actually contain? Are we talking 100,000's rows per csv or are we talking less than 1 million rows total between all the files? Is it 50 csv files and done or an ongoing effort to combine csv's?

You also mention command line and csv's. This is an Excel forum. Nothing your asking to do involves Excel. You can use Excel to combine the files, but not using command line. I am sure there are plenty of command line tools available if you search online for them for doing this.

If you are open to using Excel to do this however, we may be able to help with that specifically.
Ways to get help: Post clear questions, explain your overall goal, supply as much background as possible, respond to questions asked of you by those trying to help and post sample(s) files.
