Sorting unlocked cells in a protected worksheet.

I have a simple worksheet where selected consecutive columns, say 'D' to 'R', are 'Data Entry' columns with the cells unlocked. The remainder columns after column 'R' contain formulae and are locked.
If I protect the sheet to prevent accidental overwriting formulae, I cannot sort the unlocked columns/cells. Is there a way around this?

    Excel 2010

    Regards,

    Alan

What options did you select when you protected the sheet? Are you only trying to sort the unprotected cells?

    Thanks TMS.

I figured that out almost as soon as I posted. A severe case of RTFM! DOH!

I tried to reply but for some reason I couldn't open the link to the forum for the rest of the day.
