Hello,
I am doing a 2 variable chart (y vs x) in excel 2016. I want to display the value of the y variable at some points of the curve, next to the point. How can I do that?
Many thanks in advance,
Best regards,
Miguel

I see a couple of different possibilities -- all of them involving data labels: https://support.office.com/en-us/art...2-f467c9f4eb2d
1) If you know now which points you want to label and those points will never change, then select those points and add data labels to just those points (I assume 2016 will still allow you to add data labels to individual data points the way 2007 will).
2) If you want more flexibility, place the desired points to label in a separate area of the spreadsheet and add those points as a separate data series. Then add data labels to that data series. Then, when you need to change which points are labeled, you can simply edit the points of this data series.
