Unhappy Technique to filter through data and apply copy it to a different table ? HELP

    Hi all,

I have an question that I am hoping someone can help with. I currently have a data set that I need to transfer into a corresponding table , however the table the data must go into condenses the milestone dates into a single column .

Would someone be able to help me find a way to filter through each milestone column and apply the correct date and previous month variance into the sheet one table. I am not really good at excel so my techniques are very limited. I was thinking maybe power query or a VBA set up.

I have included a worksheet example . Please do not hesitate to ask further questions

    Thanks in advance
    :P

    Hi Sandy666,

This query is the style I'm looking for however when you unpivot the data it ends up messing the data corresponding with the variances. For instance in project 4. It shows the milestone 3 has both variances as -4 & -6 . Is there a way to rectify this? . Thanks for the help nonetheless (See Below)

    5000120000 Project 4 Manager 3 Project Manager 2 0.038033297 Milestone 3 30/11/2016 -6
    5000120000 Project 4 Manager 3 Project Manager 2 0.038033297 Milestone 3 30/11/2016 -4

    because there are two variances
