"If Column A contains "text", then display "text" in Cell B1"

Pretty much the title. I am creating a data based table for a video game called League of Legends. I have constructed a table where the row are different characters in the game (1-139) columns are different traits characters in the video game can have (Trait 1-7). I have manually ticked cells in which Character X does indeed have Trait Y. Excel.JPG

Now here is the tricky part. I am trying to make it so people can enter in the name of the character they are playing (as well as other characters their teammates have picked), and have another column basically tick off whether or not Trait X is present with that selection. E.g. If "Camille" is present in "Enter Your Character", tick off in "Trait 1 Present Column". eXCEL 2.JPGHowever i am finding it extremely difficult to this for multiple characters and multiple traits due to having "too many arguments in function". Does anyone have any ideas about what i might be best to do?
