    "New Query" button missing

I'm trying to look for the "New Query" button from the Get & Transform group in the Data ribbon but it isn't there.

What I see is this instead:

    new query missing.PNG

I don't see New Query in the Customize Ribbons option either.

How do I display that button?

Power Map, Power Pivot and Power View add-ins are installed.

I am seeking to use the Power Query functionality and I need the "New Query" button there

    Hi Cheesecube,

The newer version of Excel doesn't have a New Query button. Watch the first few minutes of:

To start a new query you simply get a new dataset.

I'm finding it in the Options section.

Your profile indicates Excel 2016. Are you using 365 as noted by Marvin. If so, update your profile.

Could you explain how you got it. I am trying to figure it out, but can't manage to find it.
