    '_Fill' error when copying sheet?

I get the attached '_Fill' error when I attempt to copy one of my worksheets. It does allow me to rename it (whatever "it" is) but I'd really like to determine the reason for this error and eliminate it if possible (I'm going to be making a lot of copies of this sheet).

I cannot find a formula or named range that contains "_Fill" so I have no idea what it it is referring to.

Anybody point me in the direction of what is causing this?

    Thanks!
    Chris

If you want us to have a stab at finding it, attach the workbook.

Why is that? Can't you desensitise the data?

Frankly, the error message you are getting is really clear - you just need to find that reference. If you can't attach the workbook, we can't help.

Presumably you have looked in the Named Ranges dialog on the destination sheet? If not, do so. Beyond that, I'm not able to say.

The name could be hidden, in which case you can download the Name Manager add-in from here to find it- http://www.jkp-ads.com/OfficeMarketPlaceNM-EN.asp

It's a little more complicated than just desensitising the data.

I've done everything I can think of to locate the reference...I can't find anything that contains "_Fill". I was hoping someone would recognise it...it's something Excel is generating its own.

    Thanks anayway.

Yeah...I've gone through every line in the Name Manager...it's not in there.

The built-in Name Manager doesn't show hidden names, which is why I suggested that one.

Are there any charts or graphs?

If it were me, I'd be at least trying to provide a sample file that illustrates the issue and attaching it here. Otherwise, it's just guesswork. However, I did just Google it and came up with:

Re: '_Fill' error when copying sheet?

what happens if you just say yes? (make sure to test on a copy first)

I have this error sometimes with named ranges I created myself. It never seem to hurt me if I just say yes. The only "confusing" part can be that in the name manager you can have 2 same names refering to different ranges. but as long as the names are not used in VBA to call on the named ranges. I never had a problem with duplicate names.
