    Count number of dates in a list that fall within a given month.

    Hi,

    I have a really long list of dates. I need to write formula for each month to count how many of the dates fall within that month (it doesn't matter what day or year, just what month).

    I have tried =countif and month() but cant crack it.

    Any help would be much appreciated (example attached)

    Try

    =SUMPRODUCT(--(MONTH(B5:B9)=9))

    Converts a TRUE or FALSE into 1 or 0
