I have real problems getting my head around conditional formatting - no idea why I find it so difficult but I do. I've attached a spreadsheet where I am searching a range of cells for a three letter code that I enter into cell J25. The three letter code is a teacher code and each column refers to a day of the week and a period of the timetable.
The range of cells that I am looking at is A2:AI23. If it finds the teacher code in the range, I can make it highlight those particular cells but what I would really like it to either highlight the top row where the code appears or even each column where the code appears. I want to make it easier to see which day and period the teacher is appearing in.
