Excel 2010 VS 2016

Is there anything I can do with Excel 2016 that I can't do with 2010? Like replacing one word in a cell with a different fronts instead of the entire cell being replace with that fronts? Or like doing a word search and the word search tells you what cell it's in but I have 500 words in that cell so would Excel 2016 show me where that word is in that cell?

• Excel is not a Word
• 2016 has more functions than 2010
• 2016 has PowerQuery & PowerPivot built-in - 2010 not
• and some more...

As far as searching for a word, if I understand you correctly, both versions can do that using either FIND (case sensitive) or SEARCH
Regarding changing Fonts for specific words in a cell, both versions can also do that, but you need to edit the cell, select the word/s and then apply formatting to just that part
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Like replacing one word... that word is in that cell?
No, to both questions, if you mean search & replace (CTRL + F or CTRL + H). Excel isn't really meant for word processing.

However there are number of new things added to 2016. Such as Forecasting, New Charts, Get&Transform (PowerQuery) to name a few.

If you are able, I'd strongly recommend going Office 365 subscription (license option will depend on your need).
With introduction of Office 365, while MS still maintains Office 2016 standalone, Office 365 offers monthly update with many tracts that will give you access to additional tools/features (Co-Authoring, TextJoin etc).

With Office Insider track, even with Office 365 home edition, you'll now have access to PowerPivot and other features.
