Using PowerQuery(2013) to Access and Update Sharepoint File

Afternoon,

I am working with a large database, 20,000 rows+. I have setup the query to the Sharepoint List, but is there a way for me to mass update cells from the query and have it update the Sharepoint List? Or is the connection only one way? Would it be more efficient to simply copy the columns that I update from the query, and then overwrite the column in Datasheet view while in the Sharepoint List?

It's one way.

PowerQuery currently does not allow write to database/file, it's only for reading data.

If it's from single sheet, yes, that's probably the fastest method and hassle free.

If more complex, you may want to write VBA module to send request via SharePoint REST API (or using some other programming language).

Okay thanks. I spoke with a coworker of mine and I think we are going to write a workflow utilizing a couple different files that I will have to put online.
