Hi jshrader,
The problem with #1 is that the conditional rule format for that given area is not set correctly.
First select in the calendar sheet cell B6, then open the rules manager for the conditional format.
(go to menu : Home - Conditional Formatting - Manage Rules... , a popup window opens.)
You should see the popup windows with the current selection's rules.
If you see all rules , select "current selection" in the "show formatting rules for:" combobox.
Click on "edit rule", and you'll see that the following rule is applied to the selection.
If you do the same for cell B26 and B46, you'll see a difference in the formula used.
after the <> there is 'month2' and 'month3', but it should be 'MONTH'(B26) or 'MONTH(B46)'
If you change month2 or month3 in the formula into MONTH, apply it and the formula should now give you a gray shaded font.
change it to :
for your second Q : I copied the calen, dar to a new book, but all fields stayed exactly as they were.
I cannot reproduce your error or the view you get.
Can you post a workbook sample with the wrong fields?
