    Dynamic list need updating

Hi all and thank you for taking the time to read my post, i have a small query and need some help, I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

I have a spreadsheet with some test scores in a tab called Data.
i want to be able to select any test and for the names of those people to appear.

Any help would be really appreciated. My work around at the moment involve lots of filtering so I thought may be a formula might be easier.

    Re: Dynamic list need updating

Are you actually using Excel 2003 still or do you have a newer version? I ask as my answer would be very different if you are limited to an old version of Excel.

    Re: Dynamic list need updating

    Try this
Enter array formula in Dynamic Sheet A2 and copy down

    ***Array formula
...confirmed by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER.
You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula.
If you do not CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer.
    Formula: copy to clipboard

then enter formula in B2 and copy down

    Thank you Alkey,

I really appreciate the quick response, however its a great start but i noticed some of the scores are still over 55%.
I was hoping to get scores less than 55%, its my fault for not making that clear at the beginning my post.

I really appreciate your time sir.

    Thank you

    Re: Dynamic list need updating

If you are using Excel 2013, I would then highly recommend you "flatten" your data and simply use a pivot table for this. Its the kind of thing its meant to do and does well, but your data isnt arranged in a conducive way for it.

See the attached file. Simply click test 1, 2 or 3 and you get what you want, sorted closest score to 55 to lowest. Based on the "new data" sheet, which has your data flattened.
