Using INDEX & MATCH for date lookups?

Hi,

I'm trying to use INDEX & MATCH to find data below a date row. Normally don't have an issue but, I suspect, the date is causing the #N/A error.

Attached a clipping of the file; using the MS date picker to select a date, A15 is the linked cell with the idea being that this cell (named "picker") will find the column with the matching date and return the "TOTAL REQUESTED".

Sorry, this has been confusing me all morning - can anyone assist, please?
