    1 master sheet to update multiple tabs all in same workbook

    Hi, I have a file that has 32 columns and about 11,000 rows of data that I've used for myself. It basically lists all of our customers, what equipment they have who the sales rep is, address, etc. I'm now being asked to continue to manage it and update it weekly but also have it broken down into multiple tabs with the data for each sales district owner on his/her own tab. I can break it into multiple tabs but I'd also like to keep my main tab, I think it will be easier to maintain all the data in just one sheet. is it possible to have me update the data on the main tab and it auto update the data on the other tab? There will be about 20 additional tabs. the data would be on the main tab and only on one other tab. I'm attaching a sample of what the rows of data would like. so I guess my questions are:
    1. is it possible to update one sheet and have it auto update the other sheet?
    2. The data is sorted all different ways so it would need to find it in a sort


    Any help, suggests etc would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi, I found this in another forum and it helped me

    To do this, assign a "range name" to the master sheet and save the file. In a new workbook, click Data-(GetExternalData)FromOtherSources-FromMicrosoftQuery, then in the window that pops up select ExcelFiles, then select your master workbook, then in the Microsoft query box that pops up select the range name you assigned, then select all fields, then add filter for one of your subgroups, the click File-ReturnDatatoExcel. Now repeat for the other 8 subgroups each in their own worksheet. You can set the Data-Connection-Properties to refresh automatically upon opening the workbook.
