Unique list from Unique list

Hello Excel friends I'm back again

As you can see from this table i'd like a formula E2 to copy across and copy down o get the first names (see in red)

Anyway I'm able to get unique list of last names as you can see from the array formula that i put in cell D2

=INDEX($A$2:$A$15,SMALL(IF(FREQUENCY(MATCH($A$2:$A$15,$A$2:$A$15,0),ROW($A$2:$A$15)-ROW($A$2)+1),ROW($A$2:$A$15)-ROW($A$2)+1),ROW(A1)))

I made a mistake in that post and withdrew before it exploded. LOL

Try array entering this in E2, fill down and across. The order of the "Millers" isn't the same as expected above. Does it make a difference?
