Thumbs up Find / Filter Min / Max Dates & Ignore #N/A

    Hi,

I have a sizable table in which I'm looking for Minimum & Maximum or First / Lasted dates

The following works well for the whole table: =MIN(IF(ISNUMBER(A1:A5),A1:A5))

However, when I filter the table per section area, I would also like to see the Min / Max dates for those areas

    How to modify function?

    Thanks

Have you looked at SUBTOTAL (Options 4 and 5 or 104, 105 (max and min))? SUBTOTAL ignores invisible / hidden rows.

Or am I missing the point?

    Edit Something like

    =SUBTOTAL(105,A1:A5)

Or better yet if you have Excel 2010 or newer (your profile doesn't say ... please update) AGGREGATE has options to ignore errors. SUBTOTAL won't unless I am missing a trick.

    =AGGREGATE(5,7,A1:A5)

    Aggregate function works nicely!!

I also initially tried that but used, 5, 3 options instead of 5, 7 options

    Thanks
