Employee Tracking Help With Data Validation

    Hello!

I found a spreadsheet on this forum that tracks attendance in a rolling 90 day period (attached named Attendance Tracker_test 2). We're currently incorporating it into our attendance policy.

While doing this, we decided it would be nice to track every employee's attendance AND if we've reviewed counseling documents with them.

I've created the attached sheet named 1.4. I'm struggling with 3 things:

    1. In the occurrence tab, how do I make the Policy>Disciplinary Action>Occurrence drop downs dependent upon each other. (If I used the Policy drop down and select something, how do I change what appears in the disciplinary action drop down, etc.)? I used Data Validation to create the drop down menus but they don't seem to have any bearing on anything?

    2. Is there a way to track each employee's performance per month? I.E. one employee had 3 write ups in the month of August, and as a department there were 23 write ups, or whatever?

    3. Would I be able to combine the attendance spreadsheet with this to track overall employee performance easily?

Any and all help will be appreciated. I am in a little over my head with this.
