Trying to create a table to sort but with multiple layers

I have a table that has multiple columns that I want to be able to sort/search by but I'm not sure if its even feasible. Basically it is like four tables into one. D:O are the months & points scored. P:Z is the % of increase in score. AA:AL is number of RBIs and AM:AW is the % increase.

Is there a way to say, I want to know who had the most points in Jan,Feb,March? I know I can sort each month but this would be a sum & then sort. What about if i want to know who had the most points in April/May/June then further sort by who had the greatest increase in April/May/June?

I didn't know if a Pivot could get that complex or how to go about that. Hopefully the attached spreadsheet will help.

    Hi Taylor,

You will need to reformat your table so it isn't a Crosstab but a Tabular table. Then Pivot Tables have the tool you want. Read about it at:

Thanks. Not sure if that helps. The website says trying to show difference between months, but that isn't what I'm trying for.

Re: Trying to create a table to sort but with multiple layers

Attached is an example of sorting based on the sum of the points scored in Jan through March. The pivot table rows are summed using a calculated field (since there are no column labels to generate a grand total by row). The collectors are then sorted by the calculated field.
