Linked PivotTable and PivotChart with Power Pivot

    Greetings, All,

I am currently using Office 2016 Professional Plus, and I noticed that my Pivots are not linked when I insert a Chart/Table Horizontal combo from within the Data Model. Normally, when I insert a normal PivotTable/PivotChart combo using the Insert tab in Excel, they interact so that a change to the one affects the other, but Power Pivot combos don't.

Is there any solution for this? I am at my wit's end as I feel like this has to be a blatantly obvious feature that I am just missing.

    Thank you!

Presuming you mean you want to apply a filter to both Pivot Table and Pivot Chart at the same time, then insert a slicer for the relevant field(s) which is connected to both Pivot Table and Pivot Chart.

    Olly,

Thank you for the reply and the suggestion. What I am actually wanting to accomplish is the same thing as happens when you select a PivotTable and create a PivotChart that references that PivotTable. When you change the structure of the PivotTable, the PivotChart structure changes as well. When you use the Quick Explore feature with a Power Pivot table, it affects the linked PivotChart.

I can do this manually by first using Power Pivot to create the PivotTable and then, under Analyze, clicking PivotChart, but I was hoping I could cut out the extra steps and just do this directly from Power Pivot.

Oh, I understand - Simply click Insert > Pivot Chart > Pivot Chart & Table:

    pivotchartandtable.png

Then select "Use this workbook's Data Model"
