    Vlookup on this situation.

    Capture.PNG

Hi there! The above screenshot is the simplified sheet that I have made.
I want to vlookup for Date 8 (P3) and get the number of 4646, what formula can I add in to specify the date that I want to vlookup to?

After solving the value for Date 8 (P3), where the same problem is with Date 6 (N5), now I want to sum the value for the Doc No 34567 on Date 6 to get (2323 + 3232) into cell N5.

Any assistance or guidance would be much appreciated!

Please attach the workbook, not a picture of it.

    Re: Vlookup on this situation.

Is there any reason why B10 cannot have the number 6 in it? Just by doing this, the whole task will become super simple.

By the way, I do not believe that your sample table on the right is correctly populated.

My fault, it should be a number 6 there.

    Re: Vlookup on this situation.

Sincerely appreciate for your help AliGW.
    However, I still can't get for N5.
The followings is the screenshot of it:
    Capture.PNG

Apart from that, may I ask what is the purpose of the "(1/(1/" after the IFERROR formula?

    Re: Vlookup on this situation.

That's because there is no 6 in cell B10 (see posts #4 and #5 above).

Try using the formula without the IFERROR section and you will see why it is there:

    =SUMIFS($D$4:$D$12,$C$4:$C$12,$H3,$B$4:$B$12,I$2)

    Re: Vlookup on this situation.

Another problem extended from this thread.
Before I breakdown them into parts, there is actually a total for this, I will mark it as Sales from the workbook.
From the sample, I can get the total with the formula I used, but I can't get the total correct amount from what I've really done.
I apology if it is a simple issue but I asked complexly.

    Re: Vlookup on this situation.

You may be over thinking this, as this should suffice:

    =SUM(J3:J7)

However, you could also try this:

    =IFERROR(1/(1/SUMIFS($E$4:$E$12,$B$4:$B$12,$J2,$C$4:$C$12,$I8)),"")

I suggest you go away now and read up about SUMIFS and COUNTIFS.

    Re: Vlookup on this situation.

    Thank you once again, AliGW.

The reason I don't use SUM is because I used SUMIFS and the amount is different.
I think there may be some unmatch with the database.
While then, I will go and have a look on SUMIFS and COUNTIFS.
