    Pope's Polar Plot add-in Help

    Hello!!

I have been working with Pope's Polar Plot add-in to have it automatically graph data points as the data changes. However, I just noticed an issue and was wondering if anyone has a fix to it...

The axis is automatically set to 50. When I input data numbers greater than 50 and try to adjust the axis accordingly, it doesn't do anything. Even changing the axis from 50 to 100, with all data values less than 50, the graph does not change accordingly, shown in the pictures.

I have also included the spreadsheet I have been working with. Any help is appreciated

Re: Pope's Polar Plot add-in Help

Remember that the polar plot created by Pope's add-in is a combination XY scatter + radar chart. As near as I can tell, you only changed the vertical radar axis, but did not attempt to change the scatter chart axes. If I understand what you are trying to do, you need to change 3 axes to get the appearance to change -- the secondary radar (value) axis, the (invisible) horizontal (value) axis, and the (invisible) vertical (value) axis. Here's what I did:

    1) Select the chart.
    2) From the chart element drop down on the Format tab (https://support.office.com/en-us/art...b-3a9ef630b5a9 ), select the secondary radar (value) axis and then format selection. Format the fixed maximum to be 60.
    3) From the same chart element drop down on the Format tab, select the horizontal (value) axis -> format selection. Format the fixed maximum to 60 and the fixed minimum to -60.
    4) From the same chart element drop down on the Format tab, select the vertical (value) axis -> format selection. Format the fixed maximum to 60 and the fixed minimum to -60.

That expanded the chart to extend from 0 to 60. Anytime you need to change the scale of the chart, you will need to change all three of those axes. I don't know if Pope's add-in has a "change axis" kind of procedure to automate changing all three. It is not difficult to change them manually, so I don't know that such a procedure would be necessary.

It will not update automatically. You would need to change the values for the axis and then invoke the addin in order to update the plot.
You only need close the dialog for the addin to sort out all the axis and series that produce the polar plot.
