HLOOKUP or VLOOKUP formula help for more rows

    Dear all,

Please help me if it is possible to expand the formula I am using for transferring the information from one table to another, as I only know how to do it just for the first row but I do not know how to expand it, I have attached the table I am testing with in order for you guys to understand exactly what I am saying. Many thanks.

Re: HLOOKUP or VLOOKUP formula help for more rows

    Hey,

I implemented the formula for you in P216 to P223 and dragged across. It will however, at this moment, do nothing due to the way your data is layed out.

The EDI Workspace tab references the year 2019, where the O-VIEW tab references 2018 (and as such, it cannot find a match).

I also noticed that at some point you stop placing the date in row 4, this is also used in the formula, so this will stop working when there is no date placed in row 4.

Once the dates match, the formula will start working again.

Extra note, i saw two rows of dates in EDI Workplace, I picked the top one, if this is incorrect, just change the 4's to 5's in the red area in the formula below:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

Hmm I have corrected the dates on row 4 but they did not matched, then I have tried to write the formula again, but it still did not worked(I have attached a screenshot), I have also attached the table with correct dates on row 4 so now they should match.

Woops, one of the cell ranges wasn't locked (with $) so thats why it didn't work, it works now.

Many many thanks, I think I can modify the parameters to match and assign to new EDI for other references.
