Boss asked me to produce some data for our call centre relating to number of calls per day

Don't use excel often and the boss has asked to produce some charts for him, this is relating to phone calls. The data that's been provided has many thousands as below. This represents the date and time of the phone calls. I have never done this before and am lost. How do I produce a graph out of this data showing calls per day. I'd need some formula that would consider the day i.e. 01/10/2018 and the number of calls taken that day, which would be all the calls under the same date as below. How would I do this?

    01/10/2018 16:50
    01/10/2018 16:45
    01/10/2018 16:54
    01/10/2018 16:57
    02/10/2018 09:09
    02/10/2018 09:06
    02/10/2018 09:15
    02/10/2018 09:29

There are several ways to do this.

Though I'm bit surprised, your Call Centre Software does not provide out of the box reports, that report # of calls per hour.

At any rate, here's how I would do it.

Create PivotTable. Add Date to row label and count of Date in Values field. If Excel does not auto group dates, then right click on row label field and add grouping by Months, Days.
Then add Pivot Chart, either bar chart or line chart.

    See attached.

    Welcome to the Forum k0103707!

My business operates a call center and I have done a lot of analysis for them on call volumes and trends. Here is an example of how to do what you described:

I was a little slow on the draw here. Using pivots as CK76 proposed has advantages over my solution.
