Creating an ersatz map with conditional formatting that also is tied to a table.

Hi there. I have a bit of an interesting problem. I don't even know if Excel can do it without a macro. Allow me to explain with this picture

On the left is a series of cells that correspond to a physical location in real life. The numbers can be ignored, it's the highlighted spaces that are important. Each of these highlighted spaces corresponds to an entry on the table on the right. I kind of have this idea of using conditional formatting to make a heatmap for each of the values on the columns on the table, but that would require making a new map for each value and inputting them in by hand. I just wonder if there's a way to link the individual cells on the map to the ID numbers on the table, allowing it to populate the map with different values of the array on demand, similar to how Access manages arrays. I feel like I could do it with a Macro but it's been years since I've done any VBA and it would probably take me just as long, if not longer, to get it to work than just doing it by hand.

By no means do I want you guys to solve my problem. I'd just love to be pointed in the right direction.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Please upload a workbook or a representative cut down copy, anonymised if necessary. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context.

Show a before and after situation with manually calculated results, explaining which information is data and which is results, and if it's not blindingly obvious how you have arrived at your results some explanatory notes as well.
