Happy new year!
I have a series of week end dates ending on Fridays. For example, the last week of 2018 is shown as 12-28-2018. I need a formula to get the same week ending of a Friday from a year ago (it would be 12-29-2017). I tried taking 365 days off but that did not work.

=A1-7*52
=A1-364
Some examples and expected answers in an Excel sheet would have been helpful. Try this:
=EDATE(A2,-12)-WEEKDAY(EDATE(A2,-12),16)+7
