Auto Add Row/Merge

Hi all!

Hopefully someone could help me with this, as I am trying my hardest to find a way, but it seems that I am stuck with doing it manually for the time being. Please reference picture to further understand. In the end, I want to have the sheet automatically add the number of rows that match the total number on D:G columns. As you can see, T-2 has 3 in total, hence the three rows on I:J, but A:H's rows were merged respectively. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure you are heading down the best path here. To do what you want will, I think, need VBA and I'm not sure exactly how it would work from a user perspective. Why not get rid of all of the merged cells, populate each of the 3 cells A4:A6 with "T-2" and similarly for the Date and initials column. You can then use a pivot table to automatically summarize the T-2 findings - and a lot more besides, but let's see what others think . . .

I agree with Geoff.
Merged cells are (IMO) an abomination & should be avoided like the plague.
