Merging Problem - AUTO MERGE?? Help!!

I have a workbook that has cells A & B merged, C & D merged, E & F merged, G by itself, and H & I merged. The problem is that when i create a new row is there a way to have excel auto merge my cells using this format? That way I don't have to merge the cells everytime I need to add a new entry. Thanks! Also I am using excel 2007.

click on cell C1 en D1

    clicked merged.

Then copy down and the cells below are merged.

Have said that I advice you NOT to use merged cells.

You get trouble with it in future use.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

Yeah, I agree, but have to merge the cells for the office I am working for. And the cells are all merged and correct with all the data we have already but I was wondering if there is a way when I add a new row if the new row can be started with the correct merged pattern: A & B merged, C & D merged, E & F merged, G by itself, and H & I merged

Quick thought before i rack my brain further! On insderting this new row, copy + paste special format of the existing row will save you a 3 merges at every count!
    Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!

Yes that does save time! So if we cant figure out a way for it to auto merge with my format, that will have to suffice. Thanks!

No need to calculate the data we have in excel, it is mainly an organizational tool for us on this spreadsheet.

Why don't you enlarge the collum to 16,83.

Then you got the same effect and don't have to merge the cells.
