Hi,

I have created a Holiday Tracker to total the amount of days Holiday I have taken. I have the date 09/02/2019 in cell A4, 11/02/2019 in cell B4. I have tried =sum(a4-b4) and get 2 days... I have also tried =DATEDIF(A4,B4,"D") and get 2 days. How can I get it to calculate 3 days as I will be off on the 9th, 10th and 11th?

I have it like that just now but its annoying why it will not calculate b4-a4 and = 3. I have 1's in column c5 downwards which i would prefer to be 0...

It does it because it's the right answer. Excel sees dates as numbers. 11th Feb 19 would be 43507 and 9th Feb 19 would be 43505. Subtract the latter from the former and 2 is the answer.

If you have 1's in the column because there are no dates in those rows then maybe =IF(SUM(A4:B4),B4-A4+1,0) will do what you need?
There are many many ways of doing this. This is just the first that springs to mind without Excel open in front of me.
