Thumbs down Accumulative adding, subtracting from two cells to one 'Total' cell

Hi guys, I'm having an issue creating an inventory spreadsheet whereby you can enter incoming stock and outgoing stock from two separate cells which changes the total but then clear themselves (so the numbers accumulate in the total cell)

So just to be clear, I'll have one column which is 'Total' another which 'Stock in' another which is 'Stock out' - I want the 'Total' cell to increase or decrease the stock level by entering the quantities into 'Stock in' if stock is coming in or 'Stock out' if stock is going out, but I need the 'Total' cell to add or subtract from the total cell to whatever is entered from the other two cells and then I need 'Stock in' and 'Stock out' to clear or go back to zero so I could then enter more quantities afterwards. So the numbers from 'Stock in' and 'Stock out' simply add or subtract from the 'Total' cell as a calculation but clear themselves after the quantity is entered.

Any help would be appreciated, as you can probably tell my wording of this question is convoluted at best and I've had difficulties coming up with anything via google!

So, basically your sheet will have no history of the "adds" or "subtractions"? Just a constant of the current Total?

Yes. After I've entered the add or subtraction the corresponding cell should clear and be ready to add or subtract an additional number which will then be added or subtracted from the total

You'll have to do that with a macro.

These are always the same cells?

Is there any way to do this type of thing on a google sheet for me to use with employees adding and removing stock?
