Power Query wrong data loading

Hi,
I have a problem with one column of data in the format, for example 1125.2655.11.111. Receives a message about the impossibility of converting to a number type (yellow box in the attached screenshot). However, when I copy this column to another file, everything is OK. In the source file, the type is general, the type change, for example text, not working. Previously, there was no problem. Monthly data is added to this file. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

Will you please attach a sample Excel workbook? We are not able to work with or manipulate a picture of one and nobody wants to have to recreate your data from scratch.

1. Make sure that your sample data are REPRESENTATIVE of your real data. The use of unrepresentative data is very frustrating and can lead to long delays in reaching a solution.

2. Make sure that your desired results are also shown (mock up the results manually).

3. Make sure that all confidential data is removed or replaced with dummy data first (e.g. names, addresses, E-mails, etc.).

4. Try to avoid using merged cells as they cause lots of problems.

Unfortunately the attachment icon doesn't work at the moment, so to attach an Excel file you have to do the following: just before posting, scroll down to Go Advanced and then scroll down to Manage Attachments. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

Please pay particular attention to point 2 (above): without an idea of your intended outcomes, it is often very difficult to offer appropriate advice.

I prepared samples but every time I loaded the data from this sample everything worked. Finally, I came to the cause. The blame for this is sorting according to different columns. When it sorts by one it is wrong, when according to another everything works ok. This knowledge gives me a lot, but is there a way to always load the data correctly?

I suspect you have some data in that column that can be converted to a number? You should be able to amend the first conversion step so that it doesn't attempt to convert that column to a number then just save the query like that.
