Getting data from specific days over several years

    Hello,

I have a question in regards to collecting data over a period of time on specific dates.

I have an A-column with dates in this format:

    2/18/2019
    2/15/2019
    2/14/2019
    2/13/2019
    2/12/2019
    2/11/2019

    Etc...

and I have a % value in in a B-column linked to each day.

I want to count up-days vs down-days for each day of the week from 01/01/2015 and up until now.
One cell for up day Mondays, and one for downday Mondays.
Same for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Could someone get me started? I can not post pictures or tables in the forum for reason so I hope it made sense.

    Thank you

Unfortunately I tried the "light" version from display settings and I can not change it back to see the full forum and add attachments. "Default Style" does not work. Wrote to support so I will be back when it is sorted.

Re: Getting data from specific days over several years

It worked great and thank you very much for your help!

I worked out how to solve the issue in the meantime. It was the COUNTIF with this code "=COUNTIFS('Aker BP Data'!B$2:B$1044,"*Mon*",'Aker BP Data'!I$2:I$1044,">"&B13)"

But I can do a follow-up on this perhaps.

    1. I want to know the average of all "Mon" values that comes from the range in bold. Do I use AVERAGEIFS instead of COUNTIF?

    2. I have several cells that refer to 'Aker BP Data'!B$2:B$1044 or 'Aker BP Data'!I$2:I$1044. Problem is, if there are changes to these ranges I have to go edit each cell that contains these cell-references. Is there a simpler way for me to format this to one cell that would make changes for all. Let`s say I want to change the reference in the formula from 'Aker BP Data'!B$2:B$1044 to 'Aker BP Data'!B100:B$500. Could the range be assigned to one single cell so I can alter this more easily?

    Thank you for your help!

These are separate queries. Please open a new thread for each, each with a suitable title. Thank you.
