Make a range-reference into once single cell?

I have several cells that refer to this range 'Aker BP Data'!B$2:B$1044 and 'Aker BP Data'!I$2:I$1044.

Problem is, if there are changes to these ranges I have to go edit each cell that contains reference to these ranges.

Let`s say I want to change the reference in the formula from 'Aker BP Data'!B$2:B$1044 to 'Aker BP Data'!B100:B$500. Could the range be assigned to one single cell so I can alter this more easily?

    Thank you for your help!

Create a Named Range in Name Manager on the Formula tab.

Ideally, you could create a Dynamic Named Range to cater for increasing/decreasing range scope.

Attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

    defined range _1
    =INDEX(l!$A:$A,MID(l!$D$1,1,FIND("/",l!$D$1)-1)):INDEX(l!$A:$A,MID(l!$D$1,FIND("/",l!$D$1)+1,5))

This was a great discovery so thank you for your help! I have now made "name ranges" and the formulas look so much clearer now.

I see Dynamic Ranges being mentioned....how would that be added?

A Dynamic Named Range would look something like this:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

It's designed to cope with situations where the range can increase or decrease. However, this version relies on the range NOT having any blank entries. There are alternative versions that can cope with blank entries.

In your scenario, tim's solution looks like a good answer.

I have updated Tim's sample workbook to give you a worked example.
