why a file is always invisible when first clicked

I received one Excel spreadsheet from a vendor and every time I try to open the file, it never pops into the view. I always have to click on View > Arrange All and then the file will be displayed in the view.
What is setting of that file that renders it "invisible" in the first place ? Any fix ? Thanks.

    Hi seraphin,

I'd bet the vendor is giving you a workbook that has split or arranged their sheet in an area you aren't used to. When you View>Arrange it will tile or horizontal or vertical their work with what you have. See:

    Hi, Marvin,
If I understand what you were saying, the reason the new workbook does not show up in the view when it is clicked on is simply because the workbook is in "Page layout", which is different from "Normal", the common layout all my workbooks are always in.
    Is this understanding correct?
If correct, I would then be curious why Excel could not automatically enforce all opened files into the same layout, be it "page layout" or "normal" ?
