    [SOLVED] Noncontiguous Progress Tracker

    Dear Community,

    I turn to you to help me out figure out how to create a simple noncontiguous progress tracker. Please see the attached file for an example.

    Basically I have a table which will be getting larger and larger that contains a type of activity and two stations (a start and an end station). I would like to get a visual representation of the stations where the activity already took place, something similar to what I have done manually next to the table which contains the data (see attached file).

    I have thought about how to do this and I have not been able to figure it out.

    I appreciate the help!

    Thank you very much!!

    Re: Noncontiguous Progress Tracker

    So, you could use something like below:

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    if you don't want to show the numbers apply a custom number format to this range of ;;;

    then apply your CF rule based on value of cells -- e.g. if 1 then Yellow, if 2 then Gold etc...

    you could use the COUNTIFS directly in the CF rules but it's often useful to keep the logic for the formatting within the cell values
    this way you can do other calcs, tied to these in-cell values, rather than try and calculate based on CF colour
