Copy and Paste new data into a formatted table

It it possible to change the settings of a formatted table?

At the moment when pasting a new data set into the table, I am having to drag the table down to increase the number of rows before I can then paste the new data in. Once I have done this, I then need to delete any rows that are left at the bottom of the table to avoid my slicers showing blanks etc.

Is it therefore possible to have a setting in the table where I can just paste data into the table and it will resize accordingly to the last row of new data?

I know this is a small issue but I update my data set every day as the table is linked to a Dashboard and Pivot Tables etc.

    Thanks

The table should resize to accommodate new data pasted to the bottom of it (i.e. if the cell to the bottom left of the table is selected). How are you copying and pasting? I tend to copy and paste values. Are you SURE that the range is properly formatted as a table, and doens't just look like one?

You will have to check your setting.

Under options, Proofing > Autocorrect options > TAB: Autoformat as you type

and make sure include new rows and columns to table is checked

I'm SURE it's a formatted table. I think the issue is because I have a vlookup formula in Column A and paste new date in Column B.

Also, I don't just enter new row's as the old data will have updates to some of the cells so I need to paste over the old data and every day the data set increases in size of rows.

I will check the settings that Roel suggested.

Yes, please check those settings, because copy paste values should work in either case as long as you are pasting a range only as wide as the value columns in the table. If not, then post a sample workbook that we can troubleshoot.
