    Excel Cell Fill Colours

I am in UK and frequently use more than one template created by our US head office. I need to copy these templates into already exisiting customer files created by myself and then input formulas / data into some of the columns, but when i copy some of these sheets over to the the other files the background fill changes from the original colour that i need to use as per company colour scheme to an alternative colour.

I have worked out that when i look at the standard fill colours on the US created file and compare this to the ones on my version of excel some are in different places but most are custom colours, this means i have to highlight all of the cells and then change the Red, Green and Blue in the more colours screen to match what has been created.

Is there a way around this when i copy and paste this document to the existing file as i waste an hour or so every day doing this.

I am not able to edit their file as they also use this in the US and also frequently update the file to add new item numbers and change pricing etc...

It's not a UK/US thing - the palette can change from machine to machine even in the UK (I see it often at work, where the palettes are slightly different to what I have at home). I think it is related to whatever has been selected as the default.

I suspect you might have to go down the VBA route for this, but I shall be interested to see if anyone knows differently,

If this is a default is there any way of changing the default on my machine or was this set at build

Also if this may be fixable with VBA is anyone able to help with this.

It looks very much like the US are using 2007-2010 colours, and you're using 2013+ colours.

You can easily switch the palette in use, from Page Layout > Colours:

    Attachment 626524
let Source = #table({"Question","Thread", "User"},{{"Answered","Mark Solved", "Add Reputation"}}) in Source
