COUNTIF Help?

Hi all,

Trying to find a formula count the total number of hours in column A for all Work Types equal to RM or PM etc? =COUNTIF(G2:K5,"*RM*") will only count the number of times RM appears, however how can I count the total number of hours for all instances of RM? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It seems to me that you are looking more for a sum than a count. Try SUMIF rather than COUNTIF.
