I frequently find myself with table names that are longer than the text box in the ribbon will show. Is there any way to be able to see the full name of the table in the ribbon? Maybe with a custom tab or something like that?

Use the named ranges dialog. Drag the right-hand edge of the dialog box as far as you need to the right.

That would work, I was just hoping for something a little more convenient. When I'm flipping between 5-6 Excel files with 10+ tables each, constantly opening and closing the named ranges dialog can get a little exhausting.
OK - so maybe change the naming conventions? Is the crucial bit of the name at the end?
Do the table names need to be as long as the are?
If it was up to me, they wouldn't be as long as they are. Unfortunately, these ones aren't up to me and I'm just left to deal with them. And yes, for whatever reason the important bit of the name is at the end (IE: ForecastByTypeCode, ForecastByModel, ForecastByPKey).
Not being able to do it isn't a huge issue by any means, I was just hoping I could find a way to make things slightly easier. If not, then I'll just go back to hassling the people who made these tables to try and get their names changed.
Sorry - there is no way I know of. I have sympathy!
