Conditional Format copied down a column

I can not find a way to copy a conditional format down a column.
Not sure where I am going wrong.

I have attached a short version of what I am trying to accomplish.

Select your entire range and apply the CF using this formula:=$G1=TRUE

Here's how I would apply this CF:

Select B1:C10 > Conditional Formatting > New Rule > Use a formula
=$G1
Format: Fill red > OK > OK

Conditional Format copied down a column
