Excel page setting for printing with header

    Hello,

I have built an excel form in order to fill and print after filling.
As there is a lot of data, I've set the selected page to be from A1 to L73. When I've entered into the "page setup" and added "rows to repeat at top" $1:$7 & "columns to repeat at left" $A:$L few things messed up:

    1) the page is re-set visually when on "page layout" to be A1 to J50. The rest of the data is spread over several pages. When I "print preview", the data is locating on 1/4 page of A4, very very small.
    2) I tried to set a page break to be A1 to L73, it did not assist for preview and printing.
    3) I tired to set the "print area" to A1:M73, same, its just not doing the requested.

    What am I missing here?

    Added the file.

    Thanks,

    Kobi

Re: Excel page setting for printing with header

    Hi there,

Is the attached version of your workbook heading in the right direction?

Basically it sets the page scaling to 70% (instead of one page wide x one page tall), removes the rows to be repeated at the top and the columns to be repeated at the side, sets the top and bottom margins to 1.0 (instead of 1.9), centres the print range on the A4 page, and leaves the print area unchanged at A1:L73.

Hope this helps - please let me know how you get on.

    Regards,

    Greg M

On the Page Setup > Sheets tab, remove all columns to repeat at left. On the Page Setup > Page tab, change the Scaling to 1 page wide by 999 pages tall.

Re: Excel page setting for printing with header

    Hey,

    Thanks for the help!
I did your suggestions and its working but partly.
When I removed the repeat rows and columns and centered the page, margins of 1.0 top and bottom and set the page A1:L73 its working. The thing is that it shows the page is larger, A1:M73 (extra column). It shows that the scale is 71% but not as set, it is gray (not set).

When I tried to add the fit to 999 instead of 1 its all messed up so I returned it to 1.

Now I would like to add the repeated rows and columns for every page, if I do so its messing all up, how can I do it correctly?
As this document after printing must contain the header + the info in the first few rows, I must define it some how.

    Thanks!!

    Kobi
