Slicer Background Fill Effects

Can anyone confirm if you can set the fill effect for a slicer background?

I try doing so, yet it always come back as white, and doesn't seem to work. I have found I can set the background a solid color. However when you try to use a Fill Effect, it applies that affect to your filter items and not the actual background?

if that doesn't work. Can you set an image maybe for the Slicer Background?
