    Random exponential in excel.

    Hi Excel Forum,

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, was just wondering is there a quick way to generate a number to an exponential power. I ve seen people using subscript function for a power, but can't seem to figure how to generate this randomly.

    e.g
    2^4 5^3 etc

i need the first number between 2 and 10
and the exponential power between 2 and 5.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Re: Random exponential in excel.

You can use this in a cell somewhere:

    =RANDBETWEEN(2,10)^RANDBETWEEN(2,5)

To get another random selection, just press the F9 key.

    Hope this helps.
