    Unwanted link

I copied a sheet from one workbook and put it into another and now when I start the 2nd workbook I get this unwanted message and I don’t know how to stop it from displaying:
“The workbook you opened contains automatic links to information in another workbook.” and then it gives me these three options: Edit Links, Update, Ignore Links.
    What should I do?

    Re: Unwanted link

It's telling you what the problem is.

"I copied a sheet...and put it in another workbook"

There are links in the sheet to a workbook which Excel can't see.

You don't want it to stop it from displaying, you need to provide the workbook that the links are referring to.
Or delete the links, which may stop the sheet from working how you want.

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

OK I looked for the links and the macros say they are from the old workbook. How do I make them only of the new workbook?

The macros? It's an .xlsm file?
The links are not in the formulas?

Without knowing what they are I'd hazard a guess at just changing them to the name of the new workbook.

OK I eliminated the macros referring to the old workbook but the problem persists.
this is what I get when I go to Edit/Links:

    Re: Unwanted link

I don't know what link it refers to. As far as I know the only possible link would be from that sheet I moved to it but I don't know what to do now.
It says that if I break the link that the formulas will erase and just display their last result.

    Re: Unwanted link

I just made another copy of the workbook under a different name and then broke the link. I can't find any cells that have had their formulas erased. I need to fully use it now to make sure everything is functional.

    Forum says: Invalid attachment

Post the file if it's not too big.

Use the Go Advanced option at the bottom of the page then scroll down to Manage Attachments as the "paperclip" method does not work on this forum.
