    Excel Read data sheet

    Hi,

    Im trying to create a sickness tracking sheet ive attached the excel sheet.

    I would like to try and get sheet 2 (Count) to read the data from Sheet 1 (Sickness forms)

    If possible i would like to try and read the name and date off the officer that is sick from sheet 1 and add a mark! next to the corresponding date and name on sheet 2 for that officer.

    Is this even possible?

    Would it be possible to make a formula to read a from and to date also?

    Just thinking ahead as if a officer had more than one day off?

    what if there were 2 periods of sickness, what is the from and to date?

    Say if the sickness period for officer 1 was from

    01/09/2019 to 10/09/2019 would there be a formula that could count the 10 days to add to the count sheet?

    The reason i ask is i would like to Link a google sheet to the excel form and it saves filling out a google form to each day the officer is ill i can just add a from and to date.

    What about simple COUNTIF formula. See attached.
    You'll get total sick days for each person.

    Thank you however ive attached a new sheet id like the form to do what it was doing originally however ive added a new column on the sickness form sheet that gives a date to and from would it be possible for to create a formula that would put an X in the count form that will count all the dates from and to for all officers?

    Hope this makes sense
