    Deleting proper case content from cells

    Hi. I have a column of text cells that contain upper case words (one or more) followed by proper case words (one or more).
    I'd like to delete the proper case words. As an example:
    ABBAYE DES ROCS Blanche des Honnelles 1060
    I would like this to read just:
    ABBAYE DES ROCS
    I know nothing about programming or even know if this is possible.
    Thanks in advance

    I am certain that your sample-of-one will NOT be representative of your dataset... However, this array formula works for your sample:

    =TRIM(LEFT(A2,MATCH(1,IF(ABS(CODE(MID(A2,ROW(INDIRECT("1:"&LEN(A2))),1))-109.5)<=12.5,1),0)-2))

    Array Formulae are a little different from ordinary formulae in that they MUST be confirmed in the FIRST CELL ONLY by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to activate the array, not just ENTER. After that, the array can be dragged down as normal, to cover the desired range.

    You will know the array is active when you see curly brackets { } - or "curly braces" for those of you in the USA, or "flower brackets" for those of you in India - appear around the outside of your formula. If you do not use CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER you will (almost always) get an error message or an incorrect answer. Press F2 on that cell and try again.

    Don't type the curly brackets yourself - it won't work...

    Wow! Thanks Glenn!
    You are correct in saying that it doesn't deal perfectly with every instance, but the few that are not correct I can easily deal with manually
    Thanks so much again
