Question Corner Click and Drag for Repeating Formula Not Working

    Hey,

So when i look to click and drag a cell to repeat a formula, the subsequent cells are not automatically updating, they either stay blank or just have a 1 in them until i manually go through and each cell and click enter.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue so i can reduce the time spend doing it manually?

    Thanks

Sounds like you are on manual calculation. Does pressing f9 fix them?

    Thanks Rorya,

This has worked however, is there a setting where i can change it from manual to auto or will i have to use f9 every time?

Manual is not the default setting - you must have set it to manual! It is on automatic in the workbook you shared in your other thread, the one I updated and gave back to you.

Check File > Options > Formulas - should be set to automatic here.

It could also be connected to the text setting on that column, with which I had to grapple in your workbook. Completely clear the column, then select it in its entirety and set the formatting to general. Now apply the formula and drag copy down.

It's also on the right-hand side of the Formulas tab, under Calculation Options.

The default setting is controlled by the first workbook you open in any given session of Excel. So if the first workbook you open was saved when Excel was on manual calculation, your session will be on manual calculation until you change it.
