I grew up in a 'mac' household, but have subsequently come to loath the OS and its intrusiveness - can't get pics off my iphone without itunes / iphotos, can't plug in a flash drive without spotlight scanning / cataloging every file, etc, etc.

Anyway, I'm a windows user now. I have workbooks, though, that were created when Mac was using 1904 as the reference date for dates. Some of my workbooks are very complex, with dates all over the place. Anytime I copy/paste or move a sheet to a new workbook, dates are off by 4 years (and a day).

Is there a way for me to tell Excel, which reads all the dates correctly in the current workbook, to keep the same dates but use the 1900 reference date so that I can seamlessly work with my Windows workbooks without this issue popping up?

Specifically NOT looking for solutions that involve me having to select each impacted cell.

Thanks in advance.
