Date issue - 5 years difference

    Hi,

I've received a few Excel workbooks created on a Mac. And looking at in Excel, though the cells says 01.01.2009 the graphs show it as 2008.

It gets even worse when I copy and paste it into an PowerPoint slide. It looks fine at first, but after saving and reopening the document the year 2009 in Excel now shows as 2004... about 5 years wrong.

I believe I've seen this issue a few years ago. But I am not sure how to fix it.. as I just got Vista and Office 2007 a few days ago.

    Please help :-)

Try checking the setting of Date system,

Office Button > Excel Options > Advanced > When Calculating this workbook > Use 1904 date system.

Use 1904 date system Changes the starting date from which all dates are calculated from January 1, 1900, to January 2, 1904.
    Cheers
