Check for rank advancements in a certain clubs report

I pull reports everyday that show me what rank someone is in the club based on the points they earned. There are 12 ranks and what I usually do is pull up today's report and yesterday's report and compare them. I check to see if anybody has moved up or down and if so, move them to the appropriate rank. I'm wondering if there is a formula or some way I could detect rank advancements without having to pull up today's report and yesterday's report and compare them side by side.
